プロジェクトについて／About project
本学ではJST「次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラム」の助成金を得て、博士後期課程において「未来社会のグランドデザインを描く博士人材の育成」を実施します。このプログラムは日本の科学技術・イノベーションの将来を担う優秀な志ある博士後期課程学生を育成することを目的とされています。
本プロジェクトでは、高い研究力に加え、人や社会の営みそのものへの深い理解に基づく新しい価値を創造する力、解くべき課題を発見する力、そして限りある資源を適切に配分して解決につなげる力を有し、『未来社会のグランドデザイン』すわなち50 年後の次の社会をどうつくっていくかを自ら考え行動に移せる博士人材を育てることを目指しています。
このため、分野を問わず、真摯に自らの研究課題に取り組むとともに、多様なキャリアパスにおいて活躍するために求められる能力を育成する取り組み（キャリア開発・育成コンテンツ）に自律的に参加する、意欲ある博士後期課程学生に研究費および生活費相当額を補助し、挑戦的・融合的な研究活動を支援します。
Keio University will now implement a program for the “Nurturing of doctoral students who will map the grand designs for future society,” in doctoral programs using grants from the JST project“Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation.” The purpose of this program is to nurture the outstanding and highly-driven doctoral students who will be responsible for the future course of science, technology, and innovation in Japan.
As part of this program, we aim to nurture the doctoral student personnel who, in addition to advanced research prowess; the ability to create new values based in a profound understanding of human endeavor and the workings of society; the ability to identify the challenges requiring solutions; and the ability to appropriately allocate finite resources leading to these solutions, are possessed with the ability to put their original ideas into action in order to“map the grand designs for future society,”specifically the forthcoming society 50 years from now.
In order to achieve this, we will offer assistance in the form of research funding and living expense subsidies, while supporting pioneering, integrated research activities by highly-driven postdoctoral students. Recipients will proactively participate in initiatives which will allow them to develop the capacities required to play an active role in various career paths (career/professional development) while earnestly devoting themselves to tackling their particular research challenges irrespective of academic field.

「未来社会のグランドデザインを描く博士人材の育成」は、科学技術振興機構が開始した次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラムの一つとして採択され、開始された、博士課程学生の支援プロジェクトです。本プロジェクト採択者のリストは、14の大学院研究科が、価値創造、新技術創成、新社会創生を通した新しい総合知の創成を目指し、国際的に高いレベルで活動していること、そして、その担い手である博士課程学生が、伸びやかに活動していることを示しています。
このプロジェクトでは、慶應義塾が目指す『未来の先導者，グローバルシチズンとしての理想の追求』のため、未来の先導者たる博士課程学生たちが、新しい総合知の創成へと発展する先進的、挑戦的な研究に専念できる生活環境を整え、また、自らの新しい発想で、研究あるいはキャリアの展開に挑戦できる自由な環境を大学の仕組みとして整備していきます。
前例なき社会の模索と実現に向け、技術革新だけにとどまらない総合力、人や社会の営みそのものを深く理解・洞察し、新しい価値を創造する資質や能力を涵養し、育った人材を社会へと送り出す本取組にご期待ください。
"Nurturing doctoral students who will map the grand designs for future society," was selected as a project intended to support doctoral students and funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency's (JST) "Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation" program. A closer look at the list of recipients selected under this project reveals 14 graduate schools working to create new approaches to comprehensive learning by instilling values, inventing breakthrough technologies, and imagining novel societies. These schools operate at a highly international level and their doctoral students are able to pursue their research uninhibited.
For Keio University's part of this effort and in order to achieve its goal of "pursuing the ideals of leaders and global citizens who will impact future society," the school is committed to creating a learning environment that will inspire doctoral students, society's future leaders, to focus on research that is challenging, progressive, and contributes new insights toward humanity's collective knowledge. Likewise, Keio University will endeavor to promote systems that free students to follow their ideas and intuitions in an open and stimulating community.
